SRINAGAR: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has issued a significant reshuffle in administrative postings and transfers through Government Order No. 143-JK(GAD) of 2025, dated January 27, 2025. The changes have been made in the interest of administrative efficiency and will take effect immediately.
Munir-ul-Islam, Chief Executive Officer/Secretary of the Jammu and Kashmir Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, has been reassigned as Secretary in the Information Department. Ajaz Abdullah Saraf, Additional Transport Commissioner, will take over as Chief Executive Officer/Secretary of the Board.
Firdous Ahmad Giri, previously Additional Director of SKIMS Srinagar, has been appointed as Mission Director of the Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) against an available vacancy. Qazi Sarwar, Additional Commissioner in the office of the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, has been posted as Director of Urban Local Bodies, Kashmir. Bashir Ahmad Wani, Additional District Development Commissioner of Kulgam, will now serve as Additional Registrar Cooperatives, Kashmir, while Altaf Ahmad Khan will replace him as Additional District Development Commissioner, Kulgam.
Akram Ullah Tak, Director of Urban Local Bodies, Kashmir, has been transferred to the position of Additional Commissioner in the office of the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir. Pran Singh, Additional District Development Commissioner of Doda, has been posted as Special Secretary to the Government in the Housing and Urban Development Department. Zahoor Ahmad Mir, who held this role, has been reassigned as Additional Director of SKIMS, Srinagar.
Sanjay Gupta, Deputy Commissioner of State Taxes, Enforcement (Samba), is now Additional Secretary to the Government in the Mining Department. Arun Kishore Kotwal, Additional Secretary in the same department, will take over as Additional Transport Commissioner. Bal Krishan, Chief Executive Officer of the Tourism Development Authority, Bhaderwah, will become Additional Registrar Cooperatives, Jammu, relieving Purnima Mittal of additional responsibilities.
Masarat Hashim, Chief Executive Officer of the Tourism Development Authority, Pahalgam, has been transferred as Deputy Labour Commissioner (Central), Jammu and Kashmir. Shahnawaz Shah, Chief Executive Officer of the Tourism Development Authority, Kokernag, has been appointed Deputy Commissioner. Waseem Raja, Deputy Commissioner of State Taxes, Enforcement (Central) Kashmir, has been posted as Additional Secretary to the Government in the Department of Forest, Ecology and Environment.
Ajeet Singh, Chief Executive Officer of the Tourism Development Authority, Bani-Basohli, has been transferred as Deputy Commissioner of State Taxes, Enforcement (Samba). Mridhu Salathia, Additional Mission Director of the Jammu and Kashmir Rural Livelihood Mission in Jammu, has been posted as Additional Secretary in the Housing and Urban Development Department. She will also assume the additional role of Mission Director for the National Urban Livelihood Mission.
Ideel Saleem, Deputy Labour Commissioner (Central), has been reassigned as Additional Secretary in the Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages. Mir Nasrool Hilal Jeri, Joint Registrar of Cooperative (Audit) Srinagar, will serve as Additional Secretary in the Housing and Urban Development Department. Manpreet Kour, Assistant Commissioner in the State Taxes Department, has been appointed as Additional Mission Director of the Jammu and Kashmir Rural Livelihood Mission in Jammu.
Bureeda Majid, Project Officer for Wage Employment (ACD) Budgam, has been transferred as Programme Officer for the ICDS Project in Ganderbal. Hilal Ahmad Mir, awaiting adjustment in the General Administration Department, will take over as Project Officer for Wage Employment (ACD) Budgam.
This comprehensive reshuffle aims to streamline governance and optimise administrative functioning. The order has been issued under the authority of M Raju, Commissioner/Secretary to the Government.
