On the second day of the 3-day Kashmir Music Festival organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, three Chakri maestros gave their performances at the SP College auditorium, here today.Cultural Academy Music Festival-20

Popular folk singers Abdul Rashid Hafiz, Abdul Gaffar Dar Kanihami and Farooq Ahmad Ganai along with their associates presented popular folk numbers, creating an atmosphere of ecstasy.

A large appreciative audience listened to the mesmerizing music and verses.

The festival was inaugurated by the legendary Kashmiri Singer, Raj Begum, on Wednesday, and features light, folk and Sufiana musical performances by renowned artists of the state.

Besides, music-lovers, artists and writers, the hall was thronged by the youth who appreciated the cultural initiative of the Academy to celebrate the music traditions of the valley through such performances.

The festival will conclude on Friday evening with classical Sufiana music performances by the reputed Sufiana music families of the valley.
