Kashmir University (KU) on Wednesday appointed Muslim Jan Fazili as Media Coordinator of its varsity. She is a faculty in the media education department of the university.
Jan has had decades of interaction with the media.
After her masters in mass communication and journalism from MERC, University of Kashmir and masters in geography from KU, Muslim Jan was appointed as a teacher at Media Education Research centre in 1994.
Currently, she is senior editor of the MERC’s laboratory newspaper Media Times and university newspaper MERC Times.
Earlier, she has worked with NDTV (English News Desk) as a trainee reporter for 6 months at New Delhi in (2005). She has also worked for the University Radio Programme, the KU Radio Digest for one year. In 2006, she worked with Doordarshan and Radio Kashmir as well.
Before her new posting, Jan earlier served as Coordinator at the Institute of Kashmir Studies and South Asia of the University.
