Breaking his silence over senior PDP leader Muzaffar Hussain Baig who criticized the functioning of the PDP-BJP government in his recent statements, chief minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed Friday said that Baig was a “respected senior leader who views should be heard.”

Reacting to a question during a Press Conference in Jammu, the chief minister who is also PDP patron said, “voices of dissent and difference in opinion do exist in every political party in a democratic set up. But that does not mean that there are differences within the party. Our party (PDP) allows everybody to express their views. So has Baig Sahab done,” he said.

However, the chief minister didn’t mention name of another senior leader Tariq Hamid Karra who like Baig has been very critical of government functioning and PDP’s alliance with BJP.
