After mourning the death for the entire night, protesters carrying the body marched towards the office SSP Doda where they staged a massive protest.

Shouting slogans against VDC members, the protesters were demanding action against those involved in the murder of the youth.

Reports said that the police officers pacified the protesters with an assurance that fair and transparent investigation will be carried into the incident and those involved in the crime will be booked in accordance with the law.

SSP Doda, Mohammad Arif Rishu said that a case has been registered and investigations taken up.

“It is not clear whether the boy has died due to bullet wound or any other weapon. We are awaiting autopsy report in this regard,” he told KNS.
