In Accordance with the joint resistance program of the “Naqshband Sahib Chalo” call given by Joint Resistance Leadership to commemorate the Martyrdom anniversary of the Martyrs of July 13, 1931, and to pay homage to all Martyrs of Kashmir.

The spokesman said that Chairman APHC Mirwaiz Umar Farooq was detained outside his Nigeen residence as soon as he tried to march towards the Martyrs Graveyard, Naqshband Sahib shrine at Khawaja Bazar in old City Srinagar. Police detained the Mirwaiz and lodged him at Nigeen police station.

Meanwhile, to avoid any possible clash on this day, the government has put a strict restriction in Srinagar city with all roads leading to the Naqshband Sahib.
