Minister of State for Home, Nasir Aslam Wani, accompanied by Director General of Police, Ashok Prasad, visited Charunda village near the Line of Control (LoC) in Uri sector on Tuesday , where three civilians were killed last week in heavy firing by the Pakistani troops.

The Minister visited the bereaved families of the deceased victims and offered condolences. He assured that ex gratia relief to the next of kin and jobs under SRO 43 will be provided to the affected families who lost their dear ones in unprovoked firing from across the LoC.

Later while interacting with the villagers, Nasir Aslam assured that a dedicated ambulance service to the far-flung village will be started shortly.
