As a sequel to provide road connectivity to the remote areas, the Minister for Finance and Ladakh Affairs, Abdul Rahim Rather on Tuesday kick started construction of Rs. 3.50 crore Hangoo-Neego via Daana road in tehsil Chadoora. The road is expected to be completed within 8 months.

The road being constructed under PMGSY will provide connectivity to about 7 backward villages including Hangoo, Neego, Daana, Jabad and Branwar.

Speaking on the occasion, Rather said that better road connectivity is imperative for bringing all round socio economic transformation. “Keeping in view the importance of the roads, the government is focused to the construction and up gradation of roads especially in remote and far flung areas,” Rather added.
