SRINAGAR: Central Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) Srinagar, in collaboration with the National Council for Hotel Management & Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, has declared the commencement of an essay and quiz competition for Class 11th and 12th students.

Scheduled for January 8, 2024, the essay competition calls for submissions on the theme, “Hospitality Education in India & Role of IHMs in Career Building.” Essays, ranging between 700 to 800 words, can be submitted in either Hindi or English here.

Cash prizes of Rs 1,00,000, Rs 50,000, and Rs 20,000 await the top three essayists, accompanied by Golden Plaques. Outstanding essays forwarded to the National Council will receive cash rewards and certificates.

Simultaneously, a school-level quiz competition themed “India Tourism, Hospitality, Heritage & Culture” welcomes teams of two students. The initial contest will be hosted at IHM Srinagar, followed by events in New Delhi and NCHM&CT Noida.

The top three teams will receive prizes totalling Rs 1,00,000, Rs 50,000, and Rs 20,000, accompanied by individual Golden Plaques. All final participating teams will be eligible for consolation prizes of Rs 10,000 and certificates.
