Jammu Kashmir National Front has termed the arrest of Hurriyat Conference leaders and activists as an ‘open hooliganism on part of the so called rulers of the state’.

“The paid agents of New Delhi can’t silent those who have sacrificed their lives for the cause of freedom by putting them behind bars. The Irony is that the paid agents and the collaborators of New Delhi are not allowing the democratic activities in Jammu and Kashmir only to please their masters in New Delhi, said the spokesman in a statement issued to media on Saturday.

“It is because of the sins of these shameless so called politicians that people of J&K suffer on every front and now they are repeating their same activities only to safeguard their power,” read the statement.

The spokesperson further said, “despite the anti-people activities of the paid agents of New Delhi, the heirs of thousands of martyrs including Mohammad Maqbool Bhat and Mohammad Afzal Guru will continue their struggle for freedom.”

Reiterating to take the movement forward, the spokesman asserted that there is no point to leave the movement half way.

“India had thought that Kashmiri people will give up their resistance by hanging first Mohammad Maqbool Bhat and then Mohammad Afzal Guru, but time has proved that Maqbools and Gurus live in every house of Kashmir,” he said.

“Using men in uniform on every step against the peaceful resistance leaders and activists vindicates the stand that Kashmiri’s have no other option than resistance to achieve the goal of freedom,” he added.
