SRINAGAR: The Government Degree College for Women, Nawakadal, on Monday held a condolence meeting to mourn the demise of Prof Rabia Masood, former head of the college’s English Department.
The meeting was attended by the college’s teaching and non-teaching staff and a large number of students in the presence of Acting Principal Prof Pinu G Andrabi.
The speakers recalled Prof Masood’s contribution to the institution and expressed condolences to her family. A Fateh Khwani was also held during the gathering, with prayers for peace to the departed soul.
“She was a wonderful colleague. We all shall pray for her peace. May Almighty grant her a place in paradise and give her family the courage to bear this loss,” Prof G M Wani said while addressing the gathering after leading the Fateh Khwani.
