KPDCL Announces Power Shutdowns in Several Areas

   

SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns in several areas of Srinagar, Budgam and Shopian on August 29, 30 and 31 to facilitate maintenance work on various 33 kV lines.

According to the KPDCL, power supply to BK Pora, Khanda, Chattergam, Kenihama, Summerbugh, Railway Station Shalina, Wagoora, Wadpora, Aribagh, Checkpora and adjoining areas will remain affected from 8 am to 2 pm on August 29 due to the shutdown of the 33 kV Pampore-BK Pora line.

On the same day, power supply to Kondabal, Hassanabad, Hazaribagh, JLNM Hospital, Jogilanker, Maqdoom Sahib, Miskeen Bagh, Rozbal and adjoining areas will be affected from 8 am to 1 pm due to the shutdown of the 33 kV Khanyar-Rainawari line.

On August 30, power supply to Industrial Estate, BAMK, Raja Colony, Alamgari Bazar, Lal Bazar, Hawal and adjoining areas will remain affected from 8 am to 1 pm due to the shutdown of the 33 kV GIS-BAMK line.

Also on August 30, areas including Gagren, Memender, Sharatpora, Khudpora, Habdipora, Town Shopian and adjoining areas will face a power shutdown from 9 am to 2 pm due to the shutdown of the 33 kV Kanipora-Batapora-Gagren line.

Meanwhile, on August 31, power supply to Ompora, SIDCO, Housing Colony, Railway Station Budgam, NIFT and adjoining areas will remain affected from 8 am to 2 pm due to the shutdown of the 33 kV Budgam-SIDCO line.

The shutdowns have been scheduled as part of maintenance-related work on the respective power lines, KPDCL said.
