The court of Sub Judge Pattan, Friday sent separatist leader Nayeem Ahmad Khan in judicial custody up to February 12. The court directed police to shift Khan to central jail Srinagar.

Earlier in the day police arrested National Front Chairman, from his residence. He was wanted in a two year old case pertaining to raising ‘provocative’ slogans at Karan Nagar Srinagar in 2011. Moreover, a non bail able warrant was also issued against Khan by a Pattan court in a yet another older case.

A National Front spokesman told Kashmir Life that after producing Khan before the court of Sub Judge, Pattan he was shifted to central jail Srinagar.

Jammu and Kashmir Government had recently accorded sanction to prosecute senior Hurriyat(M) leader Nayeem Ahmed Khan under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967.
