Praising the steadfastness of the people of Pulwama, Hurriyat Conference (g) Jammu province head and Jammu and Kashmir National Front chairperson, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Saturday said that continuous refusal on part of the authorities to allow people to erect ‘Martyr’s Memorial’ is “senseless”.
Khan said, “martyrs are buried in the local Mazar-e-Shuhada, so there should be no objection on part of the authorities in erecting a mere banner on the said Mazar. It is ridiculous on part of the so called administration to stop people from erecting a banner on the Mazar-e-Shuhada.” “The arrogance of the so-called administration has resulted in a loss worth Crores”.
He said that Pulwama people are “worth praising who are exhibiting a great respect for martyrs and are steadfast on their just demand”.
Meanwhile, Nayeem Ahmad Khan paid glowing tributes to “noted freedom fighter, Shaheed Sajjad Ahmed Kenu, on his 20th martyrdom anniversary”.
Terming Shaheed Sajjad Kenu a “brave Mujahid”, Nayeem Ahmad Khan said, “the sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs like Shaheed Sajjad Kenu would not be allowed to go waste.” (KNS)
