Peoples Democartic Party (PDP) Tuesday said the ‘slanderous campaign’ launched by the National Conference (NC) against Member Parliament, Tariq Hameed Karra after he recently pinpointed the brazen discrimination with Kashmir perpetuated by Omar Abdullah-led government, has fully exposed the anti-Kashmiri agenda of NC.

“Frustrated by Karra unmasking NC’s anti-Kashmir agenda wherein the party in league with Congress has slowly and steadily started disempowering Kashmiris by edging them out in government jobs and developmental schemes,  NC has let loose its’ ludicrous propagandists against Karra,”  PDP Youth Wing President Waheed-ur-Rehman Parra said in a statement.

“The irony is that NC is yet to come clean on Karra’s data-based statement regarding the party being a collaborator in perpetuating discrimination in jobs and developmental funding with Kashmir including recent posts of teachers to be recruited under special drive,” he said and added that the party is vainly trying to hoodwink the people by resorting to fictitious and malicious personal tirade against Karra.

He said despite facing people’s wrath, NC seems to have not learnt any lessons and continues to indulge in politics of falsehood, deceit and malevolence to betray people. “But people in general and the youth in particular have well understood the demonic anti-Kashmiri designs of this party and they can’t be fooled by such filthy tricks anymore,” he said and added that instead of beating about the bush through juvenile pranks, the NC-Congress coalition government headed by Omar Abdullah should come clean on the fundamental concerns of Kashmiris highlighted by Karra.

Parra alleged that after having grabbed hundreds of Kanals of state and Kahcharai land in and around Srinagar during the past 6 years, the ‘greedy’ NC leaders are not sparing even the graveyards now. “The reports of a senior NC leader facilitating massive encroachment of Malkhah graveyard should prove an eye-opener for the people that how the leaders of this party are involved in open loot,” he said and added that PDP will soon come out with the details of hundreds of Kanals of Nazool, state, custodian and Kahcharai land in and around Srinagar grabbed by a couple of NC’s prominent legislators from the city during the past five and half years of ‘looting spree’.

Waheed said if at all anything, the NC-Congress coalition government headed by Omar Abdullah would go down in the history as the darkest era of governance in Jammu and Kashmir, with corruption, crime and chaos as its hallmarks. “Given the anarchy, torment and injustice perpetuated by this government during the past 6 years, the people are eagerly waiting for the day to get rid of this non-performing regime,” he said.
