SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference MPs on Sunday expressed anguish over the massive blaze in  Mohalla Kakar Hamam and Jamia in old town Baramulla in which twenty-one families were rendered homeless and goods worth crores of rupees were reduced to ashes.

In a joint statement MP Mohammad Akbar Lone, JKNC North Zone President Javed Dar, District President  Dr Sajjad Shafi, and Ghulam Hassan Rahi asked the administration to reach out to the affected with relief and rescue. They also impressed upon the district administration to depute the revenue teams to assess the losses incurred by victim families, so that the amount of compensation is worked out and distributed forthwith.

They also implored the administration to provide subsidised raw material and swift permission for reconstruction purposes to the affected on a priority basis. They also prayed for the speedy revival of the victims families.
