The National Conference (NC) Wednesday condemned the assault on its party MLC and leader Ali Mohammad Dar in the District Development Board meeting of Srinagar by PDP MLA Javed Mustafa Mir calling it ‘shameful’ and a ‘reflection of Gunda mindset’ by the Party he belongs.
In an emergency meeting convened under the chairmanship of Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani , it strongly condemned the unlawful behavior of the PDP MLA on Legislator Ali Mohammad Dar.
Ridiculing the PDP leadership, NC Leaders, Nasir Aslam Wani, Member Parliament Sharif-udin-Shariq, MLA’s Aga Ruhulllha Medhi, Javed Dar, Irfan Shah, Yasin Shah, Shameema Firdous, other MLA’s/MLC’s in a joint statement issued strongly condemned the action of the PDP MLA who manhandled and abused Ali Mohammad Dar
They said that it is highly obnoxious and shameful to manhandle a thorough gentleman man like Ali Mohd Dar who has been a representative of the Panchayats”
“It has become a trait of the PDP to create ruckus in every meeting that is held for the development of the state, they did the same in assembly and now in the district development board meeting” the statement read
The Provincial president Nasir Wani said the use of un parliamentary language against senior NC leader speaks volume about the degree of frustration setting in the PDP leadership. He said the action of the PDP Legislator is also testimony of the fact that they have no respect for the Panchayats or its members.
“The PDP and its leaders have no respect and regard for the Panachayats and this fact can be gauged from the action of Javed Mustafa Mir ”, Nasir said
The Party leader meanwhile strongly demanded an unconditional apology from the MLA and its leadership for such a shameful and indecent act
