Panic gripped the Sogam area of North Kashmir’s Lolab when fire erupted in main market and within no time engulfed major portion of it. As this report is being filed, fire is still on.
According to locals fire which erupted during midnight spread across the market and damaged nearly 27 shops. The fire also had its impact on the Jamis Masjid of the area. To douse the flames locals as well as fire service men are trying hard.
While talking to Kashmir Life over phone, a local Ishfaq Ahmad said that fire has done extensive damage to the main commercial area of Sogam. “The fire damaged nearly 27 shops completely and also fire affected Jamia Masjid of the area,” he said.
