Both National Conference and Congress have asked their leadership to remain stationed in their respective areas of Srinagar and Barmulla Lok Sabah constituencies to garner support for the coalition candidates. Sources told KNS that the coalition coordination committee has directed all its leaders including MLAs, MLCs, and district office bearers to remain camped in their respective areas so that the election rallies and the related programmes deliver better results.
A senior member of the Congress-NC coordination committee while pleading anonymity told KNS that the alliance is confident to wipe all the three seats in valley. “Vigorous campaign is going on in both central and north Kashmir areas and all the members including the senior leaders have been asked to gear up for the big win.” Pertinently, chief minister Omar Abdullah and state congress has already informed the respective MLAs that the ticket for the forthcoming assembly elections shall be decided in accordance with the performance of the Lok Sabha polls.
