The core group of the principal opposition party National Conference (NC) in Jammu and Kashmir is holding a meeting at the residence of party president Dr Farooq Abdullah on Monday  to discuss prevailing political situation in the state including party’s strategy for upcoming parliament by-elections and Panchayat polls.

According to reports, the meeting has been called by Dr Farooq at 11 am at his Gupkar residence and will be attended by NC working president Omar Abdullah and all other senior leaders.

“The meeting would review political situation in the State and devise its strategy for upcoming by-poll to Srinagar and Islamabad Lok Sabha by-polls and Panchayat elections. Besides, other political issues would be discussed during the meet,” they revealed.

The NC Core Group members include Abdul Rahim Rather, Ali Mohammad Sagar, Mohammad Shafi Uri, Mian Altaf, Choudhary Ramzan, Mohammad Akbar Lone, Devender Singh Rana, Nasir Aslam Wani, Sakina Itoo, Surjit Singh Slathia, Ajay Sadhotra, Qamar Ali Aakhoon, Rashpal Singh, Javed Rana and Sajjad Kitchloo among others.
