The tenth class toppers Wednesday hosted National Conference politicians at their homes. The NC leaders had gone to congratulate the toppers, personally.
According to NC statement said that Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani visited the residences of the meritorious position holders and congratulated their parents on their heartening success.
“I wanted to personally convey my felicitation to these children and their parents,” Nasir was quoted as having said.
“Quality education has always been a priority of our party and the progressive success of our students is a heart-warming gratification. I wish these young children all the best on behalf of our party leadership and pray for their bright future,” NC Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani told the families of the toppers.
Meanwhile, National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah and Working President Omar Abdullah have congratulated the students of the Valley on their success in the matriculation examination and have expressed great satisfaction at the continued excellent performance of the daughters of the soil in various fields of academics.
Congratulating the successful students in general and the position holders in particular, NC President Dr Farooq Abdullah and Working President Omar Abdullah in their message have said such hard-working and meritorious students were the future of the State and would lead it toward progress, enlightenment and peace, a party statement said on Wednesday evening.
“The fact that the first seven positions have been bagged by girls is a heartening indicator of how J&K is on the path to women empowerment,” the son-father duo said in their statement.
