SRINAGAR: Senior National Conference leader and MP Chowdhary Mohammad Ramzan, along with Sajad Kichloo and Shammi Obera, joined INDIA bloc leaders in a protest at Parliament on Wednesday, demanding the immediate restoration of full statehood to Jammu and Kashmir.

The demonstration was led by Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, with MPs from the INDIA bloc, including the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference, gathering in the Parliament complex and holding placards seeking the restoration of statehood.
The protesting leaders urged the Centre to fulfil its commitment to restore full statehood to Jammu and Kashmir, with NC leaders stressing that the move was important for the democratic rights and constitutional aspirations of the people of the Union Territory.
The opposition MPs also sought a statement from Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Parliament over the alleged use of force against students during a protest at Jantar Mantar.
The demonstration brought together senior opposition leaders and MPs from several INDIA bloc constituents amid the continuing political debate over Jammu and Kashmir’s constitutional and administrative status.
