Provincial President J&K National Conference Jammu Province Devender Singh Rana has termed the statement of Pradesh Congress President Professor Saif-ud-Din Soz blaming the National Conference as ‘most unfortunate and unethical’.
As per a statement Rana said, “Prof. Soz is well aware of the fact that National Conference and Congress have been in coalition from the last five and a half years and governance is the collective responsibility of all the coalition partners and so all the good that has happened, the credit must go to all and infact lot of good has been done with historic initiatives having been taken, though those with jaundiced eyes refuse to see them or accept them.” Rana has further said that if there is anything bad or deficit than the blame lies equally on both the coalition partners and it is improper to pass the buck and become an ostrich.
He has also said that “unfortunately some Congress leaders have been issuing irresponsible statements from the day one of the coalition in a bid to create instability and administrative chaos but despite all their efforts the sagacious Omar Abdullah kept the coalition together and delivered on the ground.”
The Provincial President said, “I am sure Professor Soz realizes that most of the public service departments and infrastructure development departments like Health, Education, PHE, Irrigation, Revenue and PWD(R&B) are held by the Congress and if there is any governance deficit though National Conference feels there is none these Ministers should be held accountable by the Congress.”
Rana has urged Prof. Soz to refrain from issuing such statements as they are not expected from a PCC President who is a responsible and experienced Parliamentarian.
