SRINAGAR
Police has recovered dozens of illicit wine bottles on Sunday from South Kashmir’s Bijbehara area of Islamabad district.
As per a local news agency, GNS, police sources said that after receiving specific information, a police team headed by SHO Bijbehara, Nisar Ahmad, recovered 35 bottles of Whisky Royal Stag from Bashir Ahmad Dar, son of Habib Dar, resident of Gadi Hanjipora in Bijbhera.
Confirming the recovery, the SHO said, “Bashir used to supply the wine among youths of the area. After receiving information, we conducted a raid and recovered these bottles from his confinement.”
The officer has further said they have registered a case under FIR number 216/2014 and started further investigations.
