SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President and Member of the Parliament from Srinagar Dr Farooq Abdullah said that NC’s policy is centered around bridging the gap between different sections of people irrespective of their region, religion or caste.
Calling for strengthening efforts to get people’s abridged rights back, he said, “We have to work together to achieve the ultimate goal of securing our abridged rights. NC will continue to strive for the protection of JKs land, jobs and democratic rights which have been undermined over these years,” he said.
The former CM said that the coming few months are crucial, for the future of the politics of Jammu and Kashmir. “It surely calls for hard work, discipline and unity,” he added.
He was interacting with a number of functionaries from the party’s North, South and central zone units who called on him at the party Headquarters Nawa-e-Subha.
While interacting with the visiting functionaries, Dr Farooq emphasised the party’s vision for the region’s development and protection of its unique selfhood and individuality.
