National Cadet Corps (NCC) has invited applications from male and female ‘C’ Certificate holders for selection as commissioned officers in the Indian Army and subsequent training at Officers Training Academy, Chennai.
According to a statement issued by NCC, “Interested candidates should be the NCC ‘C’ Certificate ‘B’ grade holders and passed their graduation with at least 50 per cent marks,” adding that those studying in final year of Three Year Degree course are also eligible to apply, and should have obtained more than 50 per cent in the first two years of their degree course.
The application forms can be collected from the office of the Commanding Officer, 1 J&K Battalion, NCC Srinagar on any working day during office hours or can be downloaded from the website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in, and candidates can also call on telephone numbers (0194) 2313081, 2313082 and 2311069 for further information. The age limit for the programme has been put at 25 and while last date for submission of application forms is 25 January 2014.
