Director Social Welfare administering pulse polio drops in Srinagar

In second round of the immunization campaign more than 19 lakh children in the 0-5 age group were administered pulse polio drops this Sunday in J&K. The health ministry mobilized 45000 workers at 11000 booths to manage better coverage.

Officials in Srinagar said they covered 1040692 children at 5716 booths in Kashmir. Health department had allotted 1301820 oral polio vaccines to 109 transit teams and 86 mobile teams involving 22794 workers and 1197 supervisors.

It includes 14552 children in Baramulla, 134414 in Kupwara, 64723 in Pulwama, 51512 in Shopian, 44932 in Ganderbal, 140082 in Islamabad and 91546 in Kulgam.
