SRINAGAR: The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) has revised school timings across the Kashmir Division in view of improved weather conditions and to prioritise the academic interests of students. The new schedule will be effective from Monday, July 14, 2025, and is applicable to all Government and recognised Private Schools.
According to an order, schools falling within Srinagar Municipal limits will function from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm, while schools outside the municipal limits and in other parts of the Kashmir Division will operate from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The order further mandates that all classes shall be conducted in offline mode only. “Any deviation from the order will be viewed seriously,” the Directorate warned.
The DSEK has directed heads of all institutions to ensure strict compliance with the revised timings. The announcement comes as temperatures have moderated across the region, allowing for extended class hours without causing discomfort to students. (JKNS)
