A joint delegation of four prominent Kashmir based NGOs namely J&K Yateem Trust, J&K Yateem Foundation, J&K Yateem Khana and Sakhawat Centre, J&K shall undertake tour of all the earthquake affected areas in Chenab Valley comprising of Kishtwar, Bhaderwah, Doda, Ramban & Thathri, for the on-spot assessment of the losses, in the first week of June. The delegation shall also share sympathies with the affected people.
This was decided in a meeting attended by Zahoor Ahmad Tak, Patron J&K Yateem Trust, Mohammad Rafiq Lone, Chairman J&K Yateem Foundation, Prof. Ab. Aziz Mir, Chairman J&K Yateem Khana (RahatManzil) and Abdul Hamid Sofi, Secretary Planning, Sakhawat Centre J&K, held at J&K Yateem Trust Central Office, here on Friday.
The meeting while expressing grief & regret over loss of precious human life & destruction of houses and other properties prayed for the eternal peace of the deceased. The meeting decided that the future course of action shall be taken after having spot assessment in the affected areas.
The meeting also unanimously constituted a Coordination Committee which shall take up the issues of common social interests of the community.
