SRINAGAR: A road accident inside the Navyug Tunnel in Qazigund on Tuesday claimed the life of a health department employee, while three others were injured.
“Two vehicles collided inside the tunnel, resulting in injuries to four persons. All the injured were immediately taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, where one of them, who was critically injured, later succumbed,” officials said.
The deceased has been identified as Tariq Ahmad, son of Abdul Aziz Wani, a resident of Banihal, who was working under the National Health Mission (NHM).
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated further investigation. (JKNS)
