Srinagar:

National Health Employees Saturday continued pen down strike and protests on day eleven after they were not satisfied with the outcome of meeting held past evening with minister health.

Hundreds of protesters assembled under the banner of National Health Mission Employees Association and raised pro-justice slogans. They are demanding regularization of their services. The protests were going on at the time of filing of this report.

“We met past evening with health minister at his Jammu residence. The core committee group of the Association apprised minister about our grievances and demands. However, we were not satisfied with the outcome of meeting and decided to continue strike,” said Dr Hamid Parray, vice president of Association for Jammu division.

He added that speaker of upper house also visited the protesting employees in Jammu and gave patient hearing to them, assuring he would take up the matter with government. (CNS)
