The NHPC authorities have advised the people not to move near Chenab River on June 10, 2018 in view of flushing of Reservoir of Dulhasti Power Station.
“It is notified for the information of Public of District Doda and Kishtwar in general and public of village Dul, Benzwar, Cherhar, Bhandarkot, Hasti, Kandani, Prem Nagar and Pul Doda in particular that for statutory periodical slit flushing from the Reservoir of Dulhasti Power Station , the Gates of the Dam shall be opened on 10-06-2018 (Sunday) from 00:00hrs to 18:00 hrs with the result there will be increase in flow of water and level of river Chenab may increase 2 (two) to 3 (three) meters” an NHPC handout stated.
The NHPC advised for restricting the movement of persons, vehicles and pets along the river bank during this period. It further advised to the general public to take proper care in movement near banks of river Chenab during this period.
