SRINAGAR: National Investigating Agency on Monday arrested a Budgam resident in connection with Hizbul Mujahideen commander Naveed Babu case.

A top NIA official told news agency KDC that an accused Tafazul Hussain, a resident of Peerbagh area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district was arrested in connection the case.

“He played a key role in supplying arms and ammunition to accused Tariq Mir (ex Sarpanch, Maldera, Shopian), who further supplied them to HM militants in Shopian,” he added.

Pertinently, NIA had also carried out a raid recently at the residence of Budgam man, but the accused according to the officials was not present at his home.
