SRINAGAR: Federal investigator, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has carried out raids and searched various premises in Chenab Valley. The raids were carried out in a terror funding case, reports appearing in the media said.
Reports appearing in the media suggest the raids were carried out in various locations in Doda and Jammu districts. Some of the spots which witnessed raids include Dhara-Gundana, Munshi Mohalla, Akramband, Nagri Nai Basti, Kharoti Bhagwah, Thalela and Malothi Bhalla in Doda district and Bhatindi in Jammu.
The federal investigator had registered a case against banned Jamat-e-Islami on February 5, 2021, accusing its members of raising funds under Zakat, Mowda and Bait-ul-Mal and using them for “violent and secessionist” activities.
