SRINAGAR: Stating that poor mobile internet connectivity has affected the digital transactions in the Residency Road, Regal chowk and adjoining marketplaces here, the Kashmir Retailers Association or KRA said the business has nosedived in the commercial hub.
In a statement, KRA President Farhan Kitab who is also the core member of the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) said: “The irony is that in the digital age esteemed customers are unable to use mobile phone to make payments through apps like M-Pay and Google Pay as the net connectivity is terribly poor,” Kitab said.
He said the problem persists across all major telecom service providers operating for the last few weeks.
Kitab said the poor connectivity has also affected the footfall. The KRA appealed the Raj Bhawan to look into the matter.
