Hours after leaving to Delhi to appear before National Investigation Agency (NIA), Hurriyat (m) Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq said that he along with his colleagues has reached Delhi to appear before the agency for questioning.
In a tweet, Mirwaiz said that the Hurriyat leadership is being maligned but the pro-freedom party will continue to seek peaceful resolution of the Kashmir issue. Mirwaiz also urged the people back home to stay calm and peaceful.
“In Delhi today with my colleagues for the NIA summon, efforts to malign leadership for its political stand wont work. Inspite of harassment #Hurriyat will continue to seek peaceful resolution of the #Kashmir issue, urge people back home to stay calm and peaceful,” Mirwaiz tweeted.
On Monday morning, Hurriyat (M) chairman took an early flight to New Delhi to appear before the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday in connection with an alleged funding case.
