SRINAGAR: Nine army soldiers were killed after a vehicle they were travelling in skidded off the road and plunged into a deep gorge in the Leh district of Ladakh on Saturday, media reports said. One more personnel was injured in the accident, they said.
Defence officials said that nine army soldiers were injured after a vehicle they were travelling in fell into a gorge nearly 7 km away from Kyari town. Soon after the incident a massive rescue operation.
The soldiers were moving from Karu Garrison to Kyari when the accident took place. The injured soldier has been taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
