Nine injured in Awantipora road accident

Nine people were injured on Saturday in a road accident near Awantipora town in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, an official said.

An official said that a Sumo vehicle bearing registration number JK03C/8378 collided with a truck bearing registration number JK02AA-1625, resulting in injuries to nine persons.

The injured persons were identified as Parvaiz Ahmad Sheikh son of  Ghulam Mohammad, Shaheena wife of  Bashir Ahmad Rather a resident of Baghat Kanipora, Khurshid Ahmad Malla son of  Mohammad Sultan resident of  Jawbhra Awantipora, Rafiqa Bugam wife of  Ali Mohammad,Dilshada wife of Nazir Ahmad Sheikh, Hajra Bugam wife of Ali Mohammad Sheikh resident of  Charsoo Awantipora, Mohammad Akram Chopan son of  Shabir Ahmad resident of  Tral, Sara Begum wife of  Mohammad Yousuf resident of  Chandhara Pampore, Abdul Rashid Wani son of Abdul Aziz resident of Ladoo Pampore.

“All the injured were shifted to a nearby hospital,” he said.
