Scores of women in Kashmir’s famous Nishat Saturday were injured when police used force to disperse their protest.
The women residents were protesting against the Power Development Department (PDD) and raised anti-government slogans.
Reports said that the PDD is installing insulated power lines in the area to prevent power-pilferage which has angered the locals.
Police had use teargas shells to disperse women protesters during the demonstration.
