SRINAGAR: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has resigned from his post on Tuesday. He visited the Raj Bhavan to formally submit his resignation to Governor Lieutenant General (Retired) Syed Ata Hasnain.

In a social media post, Nitish Kumar announced that a new government would now take charge of the state’s affairs. He assured full cooperation to the incoming administration and expressed gratitude to the people for their support in Bihar’s development.
The Governor accepted the resignation and directed Nitish Kumar to continue as the caretaker Chief Minister until the formation of a new government in the state.
