SRINAGAR:

The latest city ranking released by Government of India says Leh tops in sanitation ranking with the state of J&K. It still is at No 100 rank in the all India city ranking, done by the government of India under Swachh Survekshan.

The second best is south Kashmir Islamabad that has rank of No 197. At position third in the state is Srinagar at No 241 as Jammu is the last at 251 position.

The survey seeks various inputs from the citizens to create a ranking of the cities and towns. The five main parameters are waste collection, sweeping and transportation, MSW-processing and disposal, ODF / toilets, information, education and behaviour change and capacity building-SBM e-Learning portal.
