Srinagar: Clashes erupted between civilian protesters and forces in southern part of Kashmir’s Shopian town Thursday.

Reports said that scores of youth took to streets and pelted stones on police and forces at many places in the town.
They said that situation was tense in the town since morning after dozens of villages were cordoned off by army.
The stone pelting clashes have resulted in the closure of the town.
