Denying BJP’s alliance claims for Leh polls, PDP Monday clarified that the party would be independently contesting the polls for the four seats in the upcoming Ladakh Hill Development Council Leh elections.

Peerzada Mansoor, the Political Advisor to PDP President said in a statement that PDP in its earlier stint “ushered in an era of equitable development” in all the regions of the state, including Ladakh.

He said the PDP has contributed “immensely” in the development of the Ladakh region and is hopeful that the people of Leh will repose faith and confidence in the party in the ensuing elections.

BJP yesterday stated that it has decided to contest the said polls in alliance with PDP.
