SRINAGAR: The situation in the border districts of Jammu division remained calm through the night, with no reports of drone activity, firing, or shelling, officials said on Sunday morning.
A senior official said that despite the heightened alert following recent ceasefire violations, the night passed without incident. “The situation seems normal in Rajouri, Poonch, and other districts. No drones, firing, or shelling were reported during the night,” the official said.
Security forces remain on alert across Jammu and Kashmir.
The calm follows a ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan announced Saturday evening after US-mediated talks. However, hours after the agreement, ceasefire violations were reported from multiple forward areas, prompting a strong military response. (JKNS)
