There will be no curfew in any part of the city on Wednesday. However, authorities are closely monitoring the situation.
Police revealed that after a meeting between police officials and senior citizens of the old city, it was unanimously decided that there will be no restrictions imposed on Wednesday.

“The senior citizens assured police that they will help the authorities in maintaining law and order, it was decided that there will be no curfew in any parts of the city,” police sources said.

The areas under Zadibal and Hawal police stations and Urdu Bazaar police post faced strict curfew since last Wednesday after group clashes.

However, a relaxation of two hours was announced on Tuesday after noon which was later extended keeping in view the improvement in the overall situation.

“We are closely watching the situation and if anything untoward happens an immediate and appropriate decision will be taken,” District development commissioner Baseer Ahmad Khan told local news agency, KNS.
