Addressing the House, the Chief Minister, who also holds the Revenue portfolio, said the focus is on properly operationalising and adequately staffing the existing administrative units.

He noted that legislators frequently raise concerns about the lack of offices and basic facilities in several units. “You cannot open new units while the existing ones are yet to function fully,” he said.

The Chief Minister added that ensuring full functionality of the already created units is the government’s immediate priority. He said the question of addressing gaps or setting up new administrative units would be considered only after the current ones are made fully operational.
