SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir School Education Department has announced revised school timings along with additional directions for online classes in the Kashmir Division and winter zones of the Jammu Division. The changes will come into effect from July 8, 2025.
“The department has introduced post-school online classes in Blended Learning Mode. For schools located within municipal areas, these sessions will be held from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM, while for those outside municipal limits, the classes will take place from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM. These online sessions will not be applicable to Primary Grades (Classes 1 to 5).
Under the new schedule, schools falling within municipal limits will function from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM. Schools in non-municipal or rural areas will operate from 8:00 AM to 12:00 Noon.
The department has directed all educational institutions to implement the instructions in letter and spirit without any deviation.
