National Conference president and former chief minister Dr Farooq Abdullah on Sunday said no power on earth can take Kashmir away from India, ANI reported.

Member Parliament from Central Kashmir, Dr Abdullah, was discussing an incident that took place in the state assembly, where National Conference MLA Mohammed Akbar Lone shouted “Pakistan Zindabad.”

“That is not a party opinion. We are part of India, we will remain a part of India and there is no power on this Earth that can take us away from India,” he said.

Dr Abdullah, his opponents say is known for changing the statements.

However, NC’s senior leader Lone justified his pro-Pakistan slogan, saying that members on the treasury benches had hurt his religious sentiments.

On Sunday, Dr Abdullah said, “War cannot solve any problem and could lead to bad consequences. Thus, to avoid war with India, and improve relations with the neighbouring country, Pakistan must stop the daily routine of sending trained militants to India.”
