SRINAGAR: Senior National Conference leader and Srinagar MP Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi on Wednesday reiterated that he would resign from both the party and Parliament on November 3, saying his position had remained unchanged since he first announced the decision.
Speaking to a national news channel, Ruhullah said he saw no reason to reconsider his plan and remained as certain about it as he had been when he made the announcement.
“As sure as I was when I announced it. Nothing has changed ever since. Things remain same. I don’t see there is any reason for me to change my decision. I am resigning on November 3 from National Conference as well as Parliament, as I have announced it earlier,” he said.
Asked about his plans after the proposed resignations, Ruhullah said he would assess the situation as it developed.
“Let’s see how things turn after that,” he said.
