SRINAGAR: A search operation for two youths who went missing in the Chenab River near Hamirpur Sidhar village in Khour area continued for the second consecutive day on Monday, with no trace of them found so far.
The missing youths have been identified as Gajay Singh, 30, son of Vijay Singh, and Rakesh Singh, 35, son of Balwan Singh, both residents of Ward No. 8, Khour.
According to the available information, the two went missing in the Chenab River near Hamirpur Sidhar village, close to the Line of Control (LoC).
Search teams carried out an extensive operation throughout the day but failed to locate the youths.
They are feared to have been swept away or drowned in the strong currents of the Chenab River.
The search operation is continuing.
